The OISC is proud to be a Project of Community Partners a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation in the State of California.

The OISC is co-located with The Irvine CACT @ ATEP a National Science Foundation Center of Excellence for Optics & Photonics Education

Volunteering

The OISC offers many ways to volunteer in local Southern California communities. Our main volunteer efforts center on our Educational Outreach Programs.

Our biggest event each year is our Optricks Days at the Discovery Science Center.

You can volunteer as:

	An assistant during the Optricks Suitcase Presentations - to help hand out the Optricks Theme Packets
	A demonstrator and help at the OISC and other table top hands-on optics demonstration stations
	Company or school representative and bring a table top demonstration station
	Workshop / special activity facilitator
